Hayling - Hampshire’s Treasured Island!
Hayling Island truly has something for everyone! Whether it be historic churches and thatched picture postcard cottages around Northney village, funfairs and traditional seaside amusements at Beachlands ‘Funland’, excellent shopping at Mengham, West Town and Eastoke Corner, or wildlife and beautiful scenery along its superb coastline and nationally recognised ‘Blue Flag’ beaches.

In the Hayling countryside there are many rewarding walks to enjoy, including the ‘Hayling Billy Trail’, created on the route of the Island’s lost but fondly remembered branch line railway, but now popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders from Hayling’s many stables. The spirit of the ‘Old Puffing Billy’ however lives on in a charming narrow gauge 'light' railway along the sea front, linking the excitement of Beachlands with its donkey rides and funfairs with Eastoke Corner and its attractive new ‘Plaza’. There is a large selection of shops across the Island.

This island gem boasts a range of quality pubs cafe’s and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets, while the water sports mecca around Sinah Warrren and West Beachlands has brought Hayling to world wide fame since 1958, as the birthplace of the sport of windsurfing. Visitors will find that historic and picturesque Hayling Island is both a marvellous place to live, and a holiday destination of quality with an attraction to please everyone!
